Regarding the structural collapse of 2 decks in Wildwood NJ on September 14th 2019, at this time the Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Company is mainly concerned with the injured firefighters and their families.
We are extremely concerned about the situation and will cooperate fully with investigators. We are not speculating or commenting on the nature of the collapse. Once the officials have completed their investigation they will publish their findings. Given that this is an active investigation, we are limited in what information we can share right now, but we intend to provide additional information if and when we can. At that time we will determine what action if any we will need to take.
We ask for your patience and understanding in this matter and ask that you please respect our firefighter’s privacy at this time as we work through this as a family.

At the bottom click on sign up. Any members that do not sign up will no longer receive broadcast messages (RSAN) for FD calls and activities.
Remember to change smoke and CO detector batteries and test your units for proper operation.
DO NOT use generators indoors, even in a garage. Carbon Monoxide (CO) and other dangerous fumes will build up and put your life at risk. See our important information page for more details.
NOW is the perfect time to make sure to have your chimney properly cleaned and inspected by a professional. Chimney fires are extremely dangerous, but they are easily prevented.
Have an emergency plan for your home. Practice this plan with all family members.
